PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the project is to provide hydrologic analysis, alternatives assessment, updated hydraulics, and conceptual design. The project goals include:
PROJECT AREA The Henderson Creek watershed drains from southeast to northwest and outfalls into the South Platte River. The creek crosses through two jurisdictions: Unincorporated Adams County and the City of Commerce City and run directly between First and Second Creek.
- Update hydrology in the basin
- Identify existing flooding and drainage issues within the study area
- Obtain input from the public, stakeholders, and the project sponsors to develop feasible solutions
- Recommend conceptual stormwater conveyance and detention improvement measures
